Dear Scholars,

The 20th International Congress on Language, Literature, and Cultural Studies (DEKAK), held as part of Saybilder Congress Days, will take place in Antalya, Türkiye, from 2 to 5 November 2026.

The Congress is organized under the auspices of Mardin Artuklu University (Türkiye), the University of Carthage (OMRAN Laboratory – Tunisia), and the Saybilder Group (Türkiye).

The main venue of the Congress is the Porto Bello Hotel Resort & Spa, Antalya, Türkiye.

Participants may attend the Congress either as presenters or as listeners.

Those wishing to present a paper must submit either an abstract of 250–300 words or a full paper not exceeding 10,000 words. No application is required for listener participation.

Abstracts submitted to the Congress must be original and must not have been presented at any previous academic event.

Submissions must fall within the scope of the Congress, and the similarity rate must not exceed 20%. Papers must also be prepared in accordance with the Congress’s author guidelines.

All submissions must include an abstract in English.

All submitted papers will undergo a similarity check using Turnitin and iThenticate.

Submissions that meet the acceptable similarity threshold will be sent to at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field. Papers that do not receive approval from both reviewers will be rejected.

The final list of accepted papers will be included in the Congress programme following approval by the Scientific and Organizing Committees.

Accepted abstracts will be published in the ISBN-assigned Congress Abstract Book in accordance with the Congress schedule.

In addition to the announcement published on the official Congress website, individual invitations have been sent by email to academics in 10 different countries.

To promote scholarly discussion and international engagement in the fields of language, literature, and culture, distinguished speakers from seven different countries have been invited to participate in the Congress.

Presentations may be delivered either in person or online. The participation of scholars who are unable to attend as presenters or listeners is also highly valued, particularly through serving as reviewers and evaluating submitted abstracts.

Scholars whom the Organizing Committee has not yet been able to contact are therefore invited to submit their CVs through the official Congress communication channels to be considered for appointment as reviewers.

The Congress has been organized with due consideration for the academic promotion and appointment criteria applicable in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, the Gulf countries, Iraq, Libya, and Türkiye.

We invite you to contribute to the success of the Congress by participating as a reviewer, presenter, or listener. We also encourage you to share our call for papers with your colleagues to raise awareness and foster scholarly engagement in the fields of language, literature, and culture.

Principles of Participation, Peer Review, and Publication

Submissions to the Congress are governed by the following academic and administrative principles to ensure scholarly quality, enhance the reliability of research outputs, and uphold the ethics of academic publishing:

• Research abstracts must fall within the scope and thematic areas of the relevant Congress and must be prepared in accordance with established research methodologies and recognized academic standards.
• All submitted abstracts will undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure impartiality and scholarly objectivity. Submissions will be accepted only after receiving positive evaluations from at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field.
• Authors whose submissions have been accepted must complete the registration process within the period announced by the Organizing Committee after receiving their official acceptance letters.
• Full papers that meet international academic publishing standards will be published free of charge in the ISBN-assigned Congress Full-Text Proceedings Book. Each published paper will also be assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI). This aims to increase the scholarly visibility of the papers, facilitate their wider dissemination within academic communities, and ensure their permanent accessibility.
• Following the publication of the Congress Full-Text Proceedings Book, applications will be submitted for its inclusion in Web of Science and Scopus. The evaluation process and the final decision regarding indexing rest entirely with the relevant database authorities.
• Participants wishing to publish their papers in Scopus-indexed journals will be provided with a list of journals suitable for their respective fields. They will be responsible for preparing their manuscripts in accordance with the selected journal’s academic publishing standards, addressing any requested revisions, and complying with all publication requirements, including publication fees, review and publication timelines, and formatting and author guidelines. Acceptance and publication decisions will be subject to each journal’s editorial and peer-review procedures.

All participants must comply with the ethical and academic standards established by the Organizing Committee, particularly those relating to academic integrity, research ethics, and respect for intellectual property rights. Adherence to these principles contributes to fostering a culture of responsible research and improving the quality of scholarly exchange among researchers from different countries and disciplines.
